Vinamit Fully Certified for USDA and EU Organic Standards

Vinamit Officially Certified for Organic Farming, Processing, and Produce by USDA and EU Standards

Vinamit Joint Stock Company has officially confirmed its achievement of Organic Farming, Organic Processing, and OrganicĀ

Produce certifications according to the standards of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA Organic) and the European Union (EU Organic).

These certifications validate that Vinamit’s production, processing, and packaging lines at its factory—as well as the fruit supply from its farms in BƬnh Dʰʔng—meet organic standards. From now on, all ingredients and products from Vinamit’s farms and processing facilities will be certified organic.

The certification documents state that Vinamit has met 73 criteria under EU Organic and 81 under USDA Organic. This is the result of three years of strict adherence to organic farming practices that Vinamit has pursued since its founding in 1988.

Vinamit was granted a full international Organic Code after successfully meeting 100% of the certification’s 545 evaluation criteria. This process was overseen directly by experts from Control Union, with over 100 product samples independently tested and evaluated in the Netherlands.

Recognition and Capabilities

Mr. Nguyį»…n LĆ¢m ViĆŖn received the Organic Certification from Mr. Richard De Boer, CEO of Control Union Certification.

Among the certified categories, the most important include Organic Cultivation Standards, Organic Processing Standards, and OEM Packaging Standards. These allow Vinamit to grow raw materials on its organic farms for processing into organic products, and also to source organic ingredients from other certified suppliers for packaging at its organic facility.

Mr. Nguyį»…n LĆ¢m ViĆŖn, Chairman and CEO of Vinamit, stated:

ā€œAn organic certificate is not just a piece of paper—it represents a rigorous process rooted in a philosophy of health and environmental responsibility. You cannot earn it if profit is your only priority.ā€

According to Mr. ViĆŖn, this certification opens the door for Vietnamese agricultural products to enter demanding markets such as North America, Japan, and the EU, where health, nutrition, and environmental standards are stricter.

ā€œOrganic food is now a mainstream trend in developed countries. I want Vietnamese consumers to benefit from these superior products as well. We must help them understand clean agriculture and organic produce so they can choose nutrient-rich, natural products that support health and the environment,ā€ he added.

Vinamit’s Organic Farm and Global Standards

In addition to USDA and EU Organic certifications, Vinamit has also completed other key international standards including HACCP, ISO 9001-2008, Halal, Kosher, and FDA. The company is preparing to receive BRC-Food and IFS certifications early next year.

Mr. Richard De Boer noted that Vinamit’s advantage lies in its farm locations—remote and upstream, untouched by chemical or human impact. The company has long embraced clean agriculture, and its use of vacuum drying and freeze-drying technologies has resulted in naturally clean products.

ā€œFrom our first organic assessment at Vinamit’s factory and farms in Bįŗæn CĆ”t and PhĆŗ GiĆ”o, we were impressed by their structured and professional organic practices,ā€ he said.

Organic food production standards are considered the highest quality benchmarks globally due to their strict regulations.Ā
Very few Vietnamese companies have achieved full certification like Vinamit. In Europe and North America, organic food has become increasingly popular over the years thanks to its clear health benefits.

Sustainable Farming and Natural Resistance

Organic farming must support sustainable environmental development, biodiversity, and coexistence with other species. Soil improvement, weed management, and pest control must avoid chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.

Approved organic fertilizers include worm castings, compost made from organic coconut husks, and manure from organically raised cattle. Traditional pest control methods—such as herbal repellents (chili, garlic, soapberry, lime powder) and protective fruit wraps—are used to prevent insect damage.

Vinamit’s Organic Farm has carefully selected natural crop varieties with strong disease resistance suited to local conditions. All plant varieties and seedlings are rigorously screened to ensure strong immunity and natural adaptation, resulting in high resistance to pests and robust growth.
